Ads are not even G rated

If I were a parent I'd like the ability to skip ads with the kids in front of the TV. I've heard that networks have played kid unfriendly ads during family friendly programming such as ads for men's health drugs. While the programs are rated TV-Y or TV-G there is no rating system for ads so they can play all the ads for products intended for mature audiences only.
